Shaun Hill - Wales

Shaun Hill, the Michelin Star Chef is to Cook for Wales in 2012 Celtic Cook Off.

The first chef booked for the 2012 Celtic Cook Off as part of the Taste of West Cork Food Festival this year, Shaun Hill runs The Walnut Tree Inn in Abergavenny as a joint venture with William Griffith.

Just 2 miles East of Abergavenny, The Walnut Tree is a famous inn and restaurant since it began in the early 1960’s and offers proper dining and drinking in an informal setting. The menu is an eclectic mix, based on personal taste and sound cooking techniques, rather than any particular country's cuisine.

Neil Grant, organiser of the Celtic Cook Off and General Manager at the West Cork Hotel said: “We are delighted that Shaun Hill has accepted our invitation to join us at The West Cork Hotel for the 2012 Celtic Cook Off. He wanted to come to the Celtic Cook Off in 2011 but had another commitment clashing with the event.  So when I called Shaun to tell him of the success of the Inaugural Celtic Cook Off he told me to count him in!”
