Fantastic food, friendly staff , warm and welcoming athmosphere ... What more could you want . We were treated like royalty all of the staff welcomed us and our guests into the hotel like family. There was nothing that wad too much trouble we were their first civil partnership but you swear they had done hundreds. Would reccomend a trip down even if its just to taste d chicken wings :-D

We celebrated our wedding last October in the west cork hotel, we had an absolutly fantastic day. The venue, staff, food, managers, rooms, exceeded our expect-ions and was hosted at the highest level of professionalism. From our first meeting the managers were so helpful planning and organizing our special day. I doubt any other hotel in Cork could match The West Cork Hotel's reputation. Our guests had an exceptional day out and were talking about our wedding for months afterwards! The food was "devine" and the service was top class with very professional and friendly staff. We would highly recommend any engaged couple to enjoy a West Cork Hotel Wedding. Maria & Kieran McCarthy

We had our wedding reception at the West Cork Hotel on 27/10/12 and loved every minute of it. Simply put, it is an outstanding venue. It has so many selling points, the beautiful reception areas, the delicious food, the stunning bridal suite and brilliant value for money. What makes the West Cork Hotel extra special is the amazing staff team. The personality of this hotel shines through the staff, they are efficient, friendly, warm and no request was too much for them and they always had a smile on their face. In particular we had the pleasure of dealing with Neil, Edel, Elaine and Joan. We are from Dublin and got married in West Cork due to family connections, so if you are a couple seeking the prefect venue away from home you couldn't do any better than the West Cork Hotel. We had our wedding on December 29th, 2012. For us, it was never an option to have our wedding anywhere else but the West Cork Hotel. From day one, we dealt with Elaine Hill and her helpfulness and efficiency led to a very stress free run up to the big day. The food, service and hospitality on the day were outstanding and we were so delighted with how smoothly everything ran. Go raibh míle maith agaibh, Mgt Bohane & Stephen Connolly

We had our wedding reception in The West Cork Hotel on the 27th of April 2012 and had an absolutely fantastic day!! We had already put a deposit on a different hotel in the area but cancelled after seeing the package and quality The West Cork had to offer. The day was so special and the hotel could not do enough for us. The guests were raving about the food and the atmosphere was so happy and relaxed! We cannot thank Neil, Elaine, Edel and all the staff enough for giving us the best day of our lives!!! If only we could go back and do it all again!! Claire & Mark Jermyn

Our wedding was on September the 7th, I found the west Cork Hotel to be so helpful with anything. The Hotel is so welcoming you felt like you were at home ( you feel so relaxed). My guests came from UK and Canada they would recommend the hotel on their hospitality. One of my bridesmaids is a coeliac she was impressed with the hotel on the variety of food they made for her. My sister is in a wheelchair the disability room was so well planned there was enough room for the chair. So of my guests are hoping to going back to the hotel for a weekend break. We had our wedding reception in the west cork hotel on 28/9/12, we has 3 months to plan it & found Elaine Hill so helpful throughout the process.For us having it local was very important & we never once regretted our decision. All the staff we dealt with leading up to the wedding (Edel, Timmy, Elaine,Mags, Ciara) were very helpful & while everyone was fantastic over the wedding weekend the locals such as Elaine, Anne Marie, catriona, Kathleen, John & kinda local Neil made the day run so smoothly. The food & service were fantastic & all our guests went to lengths to let us know this. We are still getting texts etc raving about the melt in the mouth steak & the beautiful lemon posset! Above all the fantastic service on the day was noted by so many. If you want a west cork wedding with the personal touch then book the west cork hotel, you won't regret it! We had our Wedding reception in the West Cork Hotel on the 30th July 2011, it was an amazing day, the Hotel provided us with the best possible service. The managment and staff of the West Cork Hotel provide excellent advice and support before the wedding and made the whole event alot less stressful for the bride and groom. On the day everything went to plan, drinks reception was great, the food was perfect and the band and drinks kept going until the early hours!. The Staff and food is what makes the West Cork Hotel the best venue in west cork to have a wedding, 5 star food and very helpful and friendly staff. For any couple local to the area its just like having a big party in your living room!! Josephine and Damien.

Finton Kiely & myself Colette got married d 11th Feb 2012 & we had our wedding reception n the West Cork hotel. Before the wedding, the hotel was very accomadating, very helpful & gave some very good advice. On the day of our wedding, everything went very smoothly, all the staff were excellent, could not fault any one. All of our guests really enjoyed themselves were very please with their accommadation. The meal was fantastic, the ball was beautifully decorated & the babysitter dat the hotel had was super as well with the kids. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is getting married in the near future. Colette & Finton Kiely

Hi Sorry took so long to reply We both found the west cork a great venue and great food. We found everyone very helpful and were always interested in what ideas we had for our wedding day. Thanks a mil to Elaine, Neil and especially to everyone who was serving in the main hall on Friday 16th September and I will never forget that mighty girl who kept me sane the night before the wedding organising the tables .

We got married in the West Cork Hotel in September 2011 and couldn't recommend the place highly enough. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Anything we asked for they were happy to oblige if possible. The food was absolutly fantastic and plentiful- no one was left hungry and the quality was second to none. The service was excellent and all tables were served in a quick and efficient manner after the top table was served. The bridal suite which was recently done up and was beautiful. As a bride and groom you won't be disappointed if you have your wedding here.

Sean and I choose the West Cork Hotel for our wedding Venue and it was the best decision we made for our wedding on the 2nd of September this year.To say the hotel exceeded our expectations is an understatement.The management and staff had an obvious common goal to ensure that Sean and myself our families and Friends had a fantastic wedding in the hotel and we really did.The wedding meal was exquisite and many of our guests told us it was the best wedding meal they had ever had.I must say the fillet of beef and the chocolate fondant dessert was the best I had ever tasted.Dean is an amazing chef and so personable.As for Neil and his team nothing was too much effort and everything was done perfectly and with such good humour. Another bonus was the beautiful feast of a breakfast that awaits the morning after the big day it really is fit for a king and served until 12 noon which was a huge bonus. A fantastic wedding venue, we wish we could do it all again...but look forward to visiting the hotel again very soon. Sean and Karen Twomey, 2nd September 2011.

We had to plan our wedding from the USA, and had some concerns about how everything would work out. Thanks to the wonderful staff at West Cork Hotel, we had nothing to worry about. They treated us and our family as though we were all old friends. Their hospitality was amazing, and even my family/friends that traveled from the US were impressed by how welcoming and kind everyone was. It now has been three months since our wedding and all of our guests are still talking about how amazing our wedding/reception (and the food!) was. We would not have experienced the same level of hospitality if we had our wedding in the US, and are so grateful for everyone's hard work. It truly made our day so special, and we can't wait to come back to visit!

We got married in May 2011 and our experience with West Cork Hotel was amazing. We live in Kerry so most of the planning was done by phone call and email (and 2 trips to west cork which we thoroughly enjoyed) and Neil and his team were fantastic to deal with, always quick to reply to any queries we had, and helped us with local suppliers and services. We had guest coming from all over Ireland, the Uk, Canada and South Africa ranging from 9 weeks to 83 years and everyone had an absolute ball. As bride and groom we were treated like a king and queen and all our guests were treated like royalty. Dean the head Chef makes the most amazing food and 2 months on people are still raving about the meal and lots of guests commented on our wedding being one of the most enjoyable weddings they were ever at!! if you want a stress free wedding day I'd definitely recommend the West Cork Hotel, I couldn't give it less than 5 stars Elaine and Robert

I would rate the West Cork full marks for our wedding on the 28th May just gone, one of the main reasons we chose the west cork was the simple convenience for the guests and were so glad we did, there wasn't one thing we could fault, from the welcome free flowing champaigne reception, the food was outstanding and even the the evening food numerous people commented on how fresh the sandwiches were, from the staff did everything to please were so down to earth, to top it off the honeymoon suite was only fabulous like you wouldn't want to leave. In my opinion I don't know why local people would go anywhere else a beautiful hotel on their doorstep and finally when it came to paying it was a lot cheaper than other hotels.

Deirdre and I got married on Saturday July 2nd 2011 on a beautiful summer's day. Once we arrived in the West Cork Hotel, we were treated like royalty. Neil and his staff made us feel at home from the start. The service, the meal and the entire day was of the highest standard. All the guests really enjoyed the day and night. The bridal suite is gorgeous and the view from the balcony over the River Ilen is beautiful Breakfast is served on the morning after till 12pm, which made a very memorable and enjoyable weekend for one and all. We had an absolutely amazing wedding reception at the West Cork Hotel. Other venues are so popular in West Cork, I thought this would be a bit different and since all the renovation, it's a very impressive wedding venue, especially the lobby area (which is perfect for your drinks reception) and the honeymoon suite!! We organised our wedding from London so getting a package deal was ideal, without all of the extras to worry about. Everyone was very responsive and they fulfilled any request we had. The staff are great and there is a very "local" feeling to the hotel. We had our tasting night which went down a treat, and it was difficult to choose because everything we tried was great. The chef even came to meet us and discussed options with us. If I were back at the start again and choosing my venue (one of the most important elements in your wedding plans), there is absolutely no doubt I would be going back to the West Cork!
