Over 55’s

The West Cork Hotel first opened its doors in 1902; since then we have prided ourselves on responding swiftly to the specific needs of our wide-ranging clientele, inActively Retired particular to those of the over-55’s. That is why we have created a range of competitively priced weekend packages for that audience. We have also noted that this group enjoys organised outdoor activities, day-trips, and musical diversion. With that in mind for the month of May, and up until June 12, the West Cork Hotel is delighted to announce that, the West Cork Garden Festival is taking place with some spectacular gardens in the locality well worth a visit.

For those wishing to extend their stay, it is worth observing that our local experts have been requested to offer you gentler alternatives to existing outdoor activities – i.e. cycle-ways that avoid steep gradients. We have further requested that, wherever possible, our suppliers ( all of whom have excellent safety credentials) devise special ‘’introductory’’ classes for activities such as kayaking and snorkelling, as well as providing, where possible, shorter, half–day excursions (e.g. island-hopping): Have a look at our main site, and, should you feel there is an outdoor activity you would dearly love to do try, please ask: We want to ensure you are not missing out on anything that West Cork has to offer.
