A warm welcome awaits you at Skibbereen and West Carberry Golf Club. Located 3km from Skibbereen town our 18 hole, 5,967 yard course is set against the backdrop of the beautiful, internationally renowned Lough Hyne and the lovely village of Baltimore and its offshore islands. The course’s ‘’Amen Corner’’ is famously challenging and has outfoxed many visitors. West Cork’s premier location, Skibbereen Golf Course is an open 18-hole parkland course set against the backdrop of Lough Hyne, Ireland’s first marine nature reserve, the beautiful sailing and fishing village of Baltimore and its surrounding islands. The first 9 holes contain 5 mature par four holes, two par fives and two par threes. The back 9 contain 6 rugged par fours, 2 par threes and 1 par five. There is a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding countryside from all back 9 holes.
Bantry Bay Golf Club
Bantry Bay Golf Club is an 18 hole championship golf course, the 4th best in Co. Cork and 55th in Ireland (as per "GolfBantry Golf Course Digest" magazine; Summer 2009). Once again, the scenic backdrop is awe-inspiring, and the welcome at the Clubhouse is warm and genuine. The 170 acre Bantry Bay Golf Club is a Christy O’Connor Junior and Eddie Hackett designed USGA standard course, located, a short drive outside Bantry town in West Cork, Ireland. Bantry Bay features… an 18 hole Championship golf course, which is open year round. It is situated in a very scenic setting with 14 holes overlooking the bay. There are lovely sea views to the Islands and the Beara mountains. The Bantry Bay golf course serves up a nice challenge to the scratch and handicap golfer alike, from the 126 meter par 3 to the long 487 meter par 5. Although a relatively new course, it has attracted over 100 overseas members, perhaps enticed by lifetime overseas membership.
Glengarriff Golf Club
Glengarriff’s nine holes are in one of the loveliest settings in Ireland, with scenic views abounding – the one from the fifth tee is exceptionally beautiful. The grassy lane between the second and third holes is part of the historic ancient road between Adrigole and Bantry which also comes up by the trees which run across the course near the eight and ninth holes. The Clubhouse was opened in 1989 by the Club’s Honorary President, Dr Maureen O’Hara-Blair, the famous film star. Visitors are always welcome, and generally may play all day. The course is set amid mountain scenery of breathtaking beauty, overlooking the world renowned Garnish Island and Bantry Bay. Nine holes, with a par thirty three, Glengarriff provides a full range of shotmaking, from the demands of the par fours to the precision required for the challenging par 3s.
