This Month Cork Craft Month will showcase the best in West Cork craft

The fourth Cork Craft Month begins today from 8th August through to 8th September and this year it is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors. Organised by Cork Craft and Design this unique festival is a celebration of the amazing collection of handmade jewellery, ceramics, pottery, furniture and textiles that are designed and produced in Cork. Across the county of Cork in various locations, there will be exhibitions, workshops, craft fairs and open studio days throughout Cork Craft Month in over 25 individual retail events and 36 venues that are participating, meaning that there really is no better time to experience the very best of craft available in Cork. As part of the festival, Bantry House, which is just a short drive from our hotel in West Cork, will be hosting a Craft Fair, which will take place from now up until the 11th August Putting Cork and West Cork craft on the map, Cork Craft Month will also have especially designated Cork trails and open studios as well as the opportunity for locals and those in the area looking for things to do in West Cork, to visit and get involved in creating craft at the many art galleries, shops and studios across the county.
