Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival in Ballydehob

This weekend, looking for some things to do in West Cork then why not check out the Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival. A real step back in time to when sea songs and folk music ruled, the small West Cork village of Ballydehob will be hosting its first ever Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival over this coming weekend, Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June. This new festival is set to celebrate and honour the old time seafaring traditions and folk music along with maritime sea songs and shanty traditions of old. Over the 3 days there will be songs and a sea song-writing competition, shanties, dance and craft displays, workshops not to mention all manner of traditional folk and seafaring music playing in the pubs and main stage on Ballydehob Pier.
