Wedding Trends 2017
We want to share some new and exciting wedding trends with you. Maybe you can identify with some of those below.
Here we go:
Be You! Your own personal wedding style
A recent wedding trend is increasing personalisation. Many brides and grooms don't want a copy of a royal celebration but a wedding that shows their personality, their relationship and own personal flair.
More weddings are held in a dreamy and romantic vibe. Lighting and the decoration will play a large role in creating a style like that.
The Irish Examiner reports that an increasing number of couples prefer an outside the box wedding instead of a traditional one. They want to celebrate a commitment to their loved one with their close relatives and friends. But first and foremost they do also want to enjoy it themselves rather than to fullfill expectations! (and why shouldn't they)
So when you are planning your wedding think about what you like and how you want to make it truly your own - truly unique. If in doubt feel free to approach us with your ideas and we will be able to accomodate you and advise you how to go about it the best way.
Table flower arrangements
Instead of having using familiar table decor more wedding couples decide to spice it up a little bit. Beautiful flower arrangements that are on the tables can really add to your personalized wedding.
And you don't need to go overboard if you need to save on budget. It will most certainly be an absolute delight for all your wedding guests.
Definately something worth considering!
The alternative wedding cake
Who doesn't want to eat a delicious cake? From Ice Cream Cakes, to Cheese cakes and even Doughnut cakes we have seen it all. While the traditional wedding cake still has an important role to play of the day & the wedding meal experience, many couples chose to suprise their guest with something different. A delicious alternative that they love and want to share with their guests.
Well, who can argue with being served an exqusite wedding cake?
Be present in the moment - Carpe Diem - Unplug your Wedding
An increasing number of couples may ask their guests to not take photos before or during the wedding ceremony. This may have several reasons:
The couple may not want their wedding to be posted and live streamed all over social media while it is happening. In some ways it is an intimate moment for them that they share with their family and closest friends and not with the whole word until they are ready.
The bride & groom should decide the appropriate moment to share selected photos when they feel it is the right time to do so.
Often the couple just wants everyone to be there, present at the moment, and enjoy the time with them instead of being behind the camera or other digital device all the time (and rightfully so).
It is not unheard of that a photo of the bride was taken before the ceremony and someone decided to upload it to social media only for the future husband to see it on his news feed before seeing it in person. You surely don't want to responsible for this so make sure that the couple are ok with you posting things online before you do it.
Another aspect of guests taking photos on their phones is blocking the main photograher. An over-eager guest may actually ruin the photos from the official photographer by unintentionally jumping right in front of the shot. This huffington post article points out another very good reason to uplug at least your wedding ceremony. You don't want photos of you walking down the aisle with the majority of your friends and family's faces hidden behind their cellphone or iPad. You want to see happy faces. Maybe a tear of joy is also allowed.
The best entertainment
The days of making a choice between a DJ or a dance-band are over. According to american event & wedding planer A.Christianson that is the way forward. Each part of the festivity should be one to remember and is the perfect chance to have different types of entertainment. As a major music hub in the country, Cork can offer some of the best wedding bands in Ireland.
Here are some recommendations for top class entertainment based in Cork:
* Wedding Band Cork Groove Collective
