2015 National Digital Week

We are very excited at the West Cork Hotel as the National Digital Week is set to commence in Skibbereen, West Cork from the 3rd until the 8th November. The event aims to develop entrepreneurship, share knowledge and inspire by making technology accessible for everyone, whether it be for students, businesses and community groups.

To tie in with this, a four day conference is set to be held at our hotel in West Cork as well as in the Southern Star old printworks building which is adjacent to the hotel. Various workshops are additionally set to be held in the hotel  and exhibitions will take place in the Southern Star old printworks building during the four day event. 

More than 2,000 entrepreneurs, technical enthusiasts and digital marketing professionals are expected to descend to Ireland’s first National Digital Week in Skibbereen.

Many of the country’s top digital experts will be speaking at the National Digital Week on how technology can affect areas such as health, employment, science, agriculture, industry and retail.

With over 60 speakers, the National Digital Week event aims to provide practical sessions on the latest trends in technology trends and tools as well as giving advice and support on growing a business using the best and latest in digital technologies.

Also due to be discussed during the event is the pros and cons of running a start-up from a rural location such as West Cork.
