Durrus Fete Festival West Cork

This bank holiday weekend was a success with the weather holding out long enough to enjoy some of the many attractions and things to do in the West Cork region and now that the long bank holiday weekend there is still even more fun and action to come. This Wednesday 8th August, why not head to the beautiful village of Durrus in the Sheeps Head Peninsula close to Bantry and just over 30 minutes drive from us at the West Cork Hotel for a relaxed and fun day out for all the family. Here, the local community have got together to host a Fete Festival all in aid of a good cause and which is set on the 2 acre lawn of the Durrus Rectory. A local fete with a lot to offer, there will be a bouncy castle, an array of child friendly games and events as well as great food, live music, and bric-a-brac stalls. The Durrus Fete Festival in the beautiful surroundings of the Sheeps Head Peninsula really does look set to be a great day out for all the family, so if you're in West Cork on vacation or just staying in the area with the family for some of the school holidays, it is well worth a look. Durrus is closely located to Schull and for hotels near Schull the West Cork Hotel is a great choice for your break. With free parking and options for free transport to the rectory provided by the West Cork Rural Transport its easily accessible too!
