Congratulations Stephen Redmond

Stephen Redmond of Ballydehob completed the gruelling seven-channel swim across the globe. The father of two from completed the s Seven Challenge over a period of nearly three First completing the English Channel in August 2009, before next conquering the North Channel in August 2010 an to date is one of the few swimmers to have successfully completed this tough stretch between Scotland and Ireland. In May 2011, he completed the strait of Gibraltar and in October of that year the Catalina Channel near Los Angeles. This year he completed the Molokai Channel in February 2012, the Cook Strait in New Zealand in February 2012 before finally completing his last swim the Tsugaru Strait in Japan in July 2012, finishing at about 5:50pm Irish time on Saturday 14th July in a time of 14 hours and 24 minutes.
