Bank Holiday Weekend in West Cork

This coming bank holiday weekend – there is lots happening round the town of Skibbereen. On Saturday 29th October, the much anticipated tug of war with the bra’s collected by Sean’s Murray’s Fashions in aid of the Irish Cancer Society will take place on Main Street and on Sunday 30th October, a fancy dress parade will take place throughout the town, starting at Hurley’s Garage at 4pm and conclude at the St Patrick’s Cathedral Car Park. Then on Bank Holiday Sunday evening, the popular Crystal Swing will be performing live here at The West Cork Hotel in aid of the Cope Foundation. The Bank Holiday weekend then concludes on Monday 31st October with the Vintage Day Threshing in Ilen Street, so whilst in the area why not pop into our hotel in county Cork for refreshments at our very own restaurant or pub in Skibbereen.
