The West Cork Burns Supper

Back by popular demand, we are delighted to be hosting the now annual Burns Supper Event which is set to take place this month on Saturday the 24th January at our hotel in West Cork. The Burns Supper is a celebration of Scottish tradition and the shared culture between Ireland and Scotland. Scottish expats and local residents of Skibbereen are intrigued by the celebration which celebrates Scotland’s famous Rabbie Burns, who is the author of many Scottish poems.

Using the freshest and locally source ingredients, the night is set to consist of a decadent five course meal in our Kennedy Restaurant in Skibbereen. Also included is a wee dram, haggis, piper, poetry recitals well as some good old fashioned Scottish entertainment in the Bridge Bar. When it comes to pubs in Skibbereen, the Bridge Bar (formerly the Ilen Bar) offers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
