June 30th – July 8th

Bantry West Cork Chamber Music Festival welcomes a star-studded cast of international musicians. Concerts take place from morning to late night in Bantry House and St Brendan’s Church with workshops and masterclasses.

July 14th – 21st West Cork Literary Festival showcases the best of Irish and international literature - a week-long celebration of writing and reading for people of all ages with a varied and extensive programme of readings, talks and week-long workshops featuring Colm Tobin, John Boyne, Sarah Moss and others. Eyeries Family Festival has a host of activities, live music and craic go leor for all ages happening in and around the village… Eyeries 2017 Summer Festival will kick off with Ireland's legendary singers / songwriters THE HIGH KINGS. Finbar Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden have entertained audiences across the world. Now they come to Eyeries. 

July 23rd – 28th

The Glandore Regatta is an ideal opportunity to experience a fine mix of coastal yacht racing and West Corks finest hospitality..it will not be all about racing however with the chance to learn how some of the most beautiful yachts coming out of any boatyard in Ireland are being produced by ‘upcycling’ old hulls. Also entrancing walks around the West Cork coastline as well as whale watching, kayaking or sea-fishing with food stalls and music in the square and excellent restaurants & pubs bordering the seafront.

July 28th – 30th

Skibbereen The first West Cork History Festival -  programme will span a diverse set of places, historical subjects and periods, from the local to the international, ranging from the Knights Templar to the events of the Irish revolutionary period in West Cork. Leading historians will be joined by journalists and senior diplomats, and while much of their focus will be on Irish themes, the perspective will be international. The festival will be informal, participatory and with a menu for the intellectually omnivorous. www.westcorkhistoryfestival.org/

July 28th - 6th August

Skibbereen Arts Festival - Art is everywhere in West Cork. In the scenery, in the people and in the atmosphere. No matter where you go you are likely to bump into a practitioner or lover of the arts. The 9th Skibbereen Arts Festival pays homage to this vital fabric of our community with a programme of music, film, theatre and poetry., literature, exhibitions, symposiums and installations, walks, talks and workshops. August 7th-14th

Baltimore Regatta on the first Monday of August kicks off the week of sailing races popularly known as 'Calves Week', called after the islands that lie at the centre of much of the week's sailing action (with a nod towards another sailing event taking place around the same time off the Isle of Wight). Competition on the water is keen, but regatta day is not just about sailing — it is traditionally a day when people flock to Baltimore, both to watch the spectacle of yachts racing in the harbour and to enjoy the attractions and festive atmosphere on shore.

August 5th – 6th

Ardfield Summer Festival  lots of family fun items such as Bouncy Castle, Children’s Face Painting, Car Treasure Hunt, Fashion & Beauty Evenings, Sandcastle Competitions, Motorcycle Charity Runs, Live Music, Festival Marquee Fun, Kiddies Disco's and Fishing Competitions.

August 4th – 12th Festival of the Sea. The majority of events are open-air and free. Live bands play each night over the weekend in the square. A week-long celebration of the heritage of the fishing community of Castletownbere, it is a real showcase of the towns people and what is available here. Starting with the infamous sheaf tossing, air rugby, wheel barrow racing and lots of other fun new games every year. This leads into a three day market and children’s entertainment on the main square followed each evening by live bands and a late night D.J.  Monday marks the main regatta day with lots of fun water sports and games organised by the Castletownbere Rowing club and Castletownbere Development association. This leads into a fun packed week around the area for all ages with the finally 'Take Me Out' on the Friday evening. Castletownbere

Ballydehob Summer Festival A full week of rural shenanigans including (but not limited to) Charades Competitions, Crab Fishing, Historic Walks, Live Music, and Ballydehob’s infamous Turnip Race.

August 20th

Cape Clear Lá Spraoi Chléire is a laughter and fun-filled day on Cape Clear for all the family. Live open-air music plays throughout the day, while fun and games for all ages run concurrently. The Cape-style triathlon which has both an adult and teenage category is one highlight. Other attractions are the Cape Clear dog show and activities like face painting, cake sale, bouncing castle, Indian head massage, sandcastle building competition and much more. All proceeds raised on the day go to two worthy charities — Baltimore lifeboat and the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. A fantastic day of craic, ceol and fun is promised for all the family to enjoy. All are welcome.

Bantry Masters of Tradition Festival, Bantry showcases the best of Irish and international traditional music -  featuring Martin Hayes, Sorcha Costello, John Flanagan, Mary Mc Namara, Denis Cahill & many more.

August 24th – 27th

Baltimore Deep Sea Angling Festival The festival is a boat fishing competition that has been taking place annually for nearly 50 years. It is held over the four days preceding the last Monday in August (the UK bank holiday) and is divided into one day's shark fishing and three days' bottom fishing. It attracts anglers from Ireland and abroad, many returning year after year, not just for the excellent fishing but also for the friendly atmosphere.

Free weekly guided walk. Gather at the Railway Yard Carpark in Drimoleague Village every Tuesday for a 6.30pm start. Each walk will be a different route and will last between 1-2 hours.
