March is finally upon us and in Ireland that means one thing, St Patricks Day. Our national holiday the one day of the year where everyone it seems wants to be Irish, and towns and villages up and down the country and indeed around the world will be celebrating with their own parades and all day celebrations.
The Skibbereen St Patrick Day Parade is set to kick off at 2:30pm from outside the front entrance of our hotel in west cork and this year we will be teaming up with a Taste of West Cork, to tow their float, so look out for the West Cork Hotel branded jeep in the parade, which as is custom should be a colourful and above all entertaining event.
Skibbereen is the only place to be this St Patricks Day and the parade is just the start of the festivities, as celebrations will continue around the town and will last well into the night and early hours.
