Only a few days to go to Cork Week, the Grand Prix sailing event which attracts participants, visitors and spectators from all over the world for the exciting races and on shore events.
Held in the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven, Cork Week takes place from July 7th to 13th, with entrants from as far as Hong Kong and South Africa, boats from all over the world have been arriving all week.
The legendary Cork Week in addition to the excitement on the water has plenty of activity on-shore too with a tented village and a new addition to this year’s event – All Aboard@Cork Week – an interactive weekend of free entertainment for all the family on 7th – 8th July. There is also – Bodega by the Sea – featuring some of the country’s best live bands who will perform in Cork’s Club Bodega.
Happening every 2 years, Cork Week brings some sparkle to the South Coast and celebrates all that is best about the fantastic facilities in Cork, including our world class maritime playground, so if you are a sailor or a spectator in the area to enjoy the event, take place in some top class sailing competitions or maybe to just here to meet old friends, Cork Week is a great excuse to do all this and to explore the wonderful area of Cork and to check out the many things to do in west Cork and the Cork region.
