Beginning with a drinks reception at 8pm, followed by a 3 course meal and 80s disco, there will also be a speaker on fashion and beauty and the option to browse and buy some fashion and beauty accessories.

Tickets for this event are available from Thornhills electrical or the school office and are just 35 euros and the evening is in aid of Abbeystrewry National School Development Fund. Gentlemen are welcome to join the fun after 10pm and it will be just 10 euros for them on the door.

This Friday 4th November, The West Cork Hotel plays host to the one-off fashion event “Be Fashion Fabulous” organised by the Skibbereen Business Association in union with Mercy Heights Sixth Year Students.

Starting at 8pm, the must-see fashion show will exhibit the very best of local fashions from Skibbereen’s local fashion outlets, hairdressers and beauticians. Focussing on key trends for the party season and the months ahead, the show will give practical tips for both men and women on how to wear the latest styles!

The evening will include performances from the sixth year students as well as a special Christmas style makeover with a local personality and there will be a prize for the best dressed lady and man of the night, as well as lots of prize giveaways and an exclusive goodie bag for the first 150 people on the night!

Tickets for this must-see fashion event are just €10 and can be purchased on the night.

She has twice been the recipient of one of the highest honours in Irish music, the prestigious Irish Recorded Music Association’s Best Irish Female Award, and was also delighted to receive a National Entertainment ”Personality of the Year” award, as it has always been vitally important to her to connect with her audiences during a performance.

Girls’ Night out in Aid of the COPE Foundation

Girl's Night Out in aid of the COPE FoundationThe West Cork Hotel held a special style event with Colour and Image Academy owner Joan Cashman on Thursday July 8th in aid of the COPE Foundation, Skibbereen.
Colour and Image consultant Joan Cashman focused on what the key trends for the coming months will be and how best to carry them off. She used clothes & accessories from local shops including Fiona’s, Wish, Sean Murray’s, the Catwalk, Kathleen Collins’s and Sassy. Many businesses in the town were extremely generous in donating prizes for the night also.
A total of €1800 was raised from the Sex and the City Night in June and the Style Event in July. A cheque was presented to COPE, Skibbereen who help individuals with intellectual disabilities.
