Yet another successful event at the West Cork Hotel

A fantastic night was had by all at the recent traditional Lithuanian evening held at our hotel in West Cork on 16th October, at our Kennedy's Restaurant in Skibbereen. 

The evening was organised as part of the West Cork multi-cultural festival which took place from the 17th until the 19th October. With a range of eastern european food on offer, it was indeed a very enjoyable evening!

Well done to our Lithuanian Chef's Ruta & Edita, they enjoyed cooking up a traditional meal that included traditional dishes such as… saltibarsciai, a refreshing cold beetroot soup, cepelinai,-potato & meat dumplings with sour cream, Snacks that  included  zirniai su spirguciais- boiled peas with bacon cracklings and delicious desserts tinginys -lazy cake obuoliu pyragas su cinamomu- apple Pie with cinnamon!

It was something different and exciting to celebrate the Multi-cultural festival in West Cork. After enjoying a sumptuous meal guests relaxed in the Ilen Bar, one of the best pubs in Skibbereen. "A Taste of Lithuania" is just one of the many cultural events which is taking place over the next few months at our Cork Hotel.
